Wenn wir all unser Unglück auf einen gemeinsamen Haufen legten und dann jeder davon einen gleich grossen Teil wieder an sich nehmen müsste, so würden die meisten Menschen zufrieden ihr eigenes Unglück zurücknehmen und davongehen. Nur der ist weise, der weiss, dass er es nicht ist. Genügsamkeit ist natürlicher Reichtum, Luxus künstliche Armut.
